It is one of the oldest districts in Florida, and its architecture will take you back to another time. Within the small neighborhood is Old Christ Church, the oldest church in all of Florida, it dates back to 1832. While there, why not check out St. Michael's Cemetery, it was deeded to Pensacola by the King of Spain in 1822.

If you didn't get your fill of nostalgia, why not check out the Historic Pensacola Village. It is comprised of twenty properties in the Pensacola National Register Historic District. Ten of which are open to the public.

Are you a Civil War buff? Add Fort Pickens National Park to your Pensacola vacation itinerary. Named after Revolutionary War veteran, Andrew Pickens, the fort was built in 1834. It is one of the few southern forts that were not captured by Confederate forces. It also housed Apache prisoners in the mid 1880s, including Geronimo.

Since January 1971, Fort Pickens has been part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore that stretches 160 miles from Cat Island, MS to the Santa Rosa Island, Fl.
